I do use headphones to do my final editing but then I listen to my podcast using speakers at home to make sure they sound OK. I compensate for what Todd says via trying to match levels visually in Audacity.
Dymo has a new line of PC label printers. The upgrades from the 300 series line seem pretty good on paper.
Only bad thing they didn't seem to capitalize on was printing on 3 x 5 cards.

Spokesperson Todd Cochrane says, what is significant is that this is the very first multi-podcast sponsorship deal. This agreement is a large win for our members and the techpodcasts.com network. A significant amount of work lead to getting to this day, with the network barely being 6 months old it is evident that when like minded podcasters come together and build a branded network, along with developing a legal marketable framework, with the necessary statistics reporting, then by presenting a well laid out marketing plan, we were able to sign this sponsorship deal. This solidifies our ideals that "podcasters do the work, and indeed podcasters get paid".
TechPodcasts.com is uniquely positioned to deliver the GoToMeeting.com message. More impressive in June the network reached 135,000 unique listeners, and saw record traffic of over 750,000 unique downloads among the 20 reporting affiliates.
This sponsorship is the perfect marketing fit, we have the technical audience, and we will be able to directly reach decision makers in the technical community. We look forward to a successful campaign and a long term relationship with GotoMeeting.com.
TechPodcasts.com is a network of independent audio content producers who have agreed to create child safe, educational content as well as work collectively to build the best collection of Technical Podcast available on the Internet.
My son said "Dad I want to podcast all the Thomas the Tank Engines we don't have." So, here the fourth installment of Random Reflections Distributed Digitally (R2D2) ...
I was reading my son Spencer a book last night while I was trying to eat some ice cream. Since both of my hands were full I asked him if he would turn the pages. He said, "Yes!."
Then I read him the first page, and then the second page. And then I said, "Next slide."
He looked at me, and turned the page. But he wasn't too sure if he was doing the right thing. ;-)
I kept doing it by mistake all through the book. At the end when I did it for the last time for this book he said, "Silly Dad ..."
My new Tecra M4 is working out pretty well. I love the big screen, speed of the unit, and having a TabletPC interface again.
Wow ... my productivity is higher with the TabletPC that is for sure.
Still working issues though with Verizon to get EVDO to work. It looks like the first generation of the PC 5220 cards have some issues related to power consumption. They want to swap out the "A" card with a "C" card. There is also issues with the "B" card. So FYI if you find this post via Google. Call Verizon Tech Support 866-788-9387 (Option 2, Option 2) to get it sorted out.
Also the unit I purchased has a Bluetooth "RF cable" but no module built-in. You need to order: TOSHIBA BLUETOOTH VERSION
1.2 MINI-MODULE (pn#F93432 or PA3425U-1BTM) for $143 to get it to work. As a work around since I need to get to my Bluetooth GPS unit for some travel next week in DC, I went out and got a USB 2.0 Keningston external that is working pretty well.
TypePad has some new design features. I am playing around with them.
Let me know what you think.
