I am a senior systems engineer for the U.S. Navy, and I work on providing Department of Defense (DOD) customers with state-of-the-art Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) solutions.
I have a B.S. (1990) and M.S. (1998) in Computer Science from San Diego State University (SDSU).
From 1985 until 1999 I was a serious Apple Macintosh user/developer/integrator. In 1999, I switched to Windows NT; and have a great deal of experience on Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows XP, Tablet PC, and now Vista. I have, however, come back to the Macintosh and I'm currently running Leopard on both home Apple Mac systems.
I also have a have a working knowledge of Unix (HP/Sun) and Linux (mostly Red Hat).
On the mobile handheld side of things, my experiences includes: Newton, Psion, Palm, Windows CE, Pocket PC, and now Windows Mobile.
I have held technical positions as: developer, database designer, systems analyst, systems integrator, systems engineering, IT Manager, and I am currently a Program Manager and systems architect for several projects.
My primary hobby right now is podcasting via: AztecMedia.net. I have three main podcasts under production: TechNewsRadio.com, JerseyBoysPodcast.com, and VeteranStories.us.
On the personal side: I am married, and I have wonderful three kids. We currently live in San Diego County in Southern California; and worship at Christ Lutheran Church La Mesa.
